Small Town Coffee Shop Bringing Local Folks International Roasts

If you could bring your favorite thing to your small town, would you do it? If you really loved pasta, and there were no good pasta restaurants around, would you open a pasta restaurant to fulfill the need you have seen? This was a question Laura Marshall, founder of Just The Beans Coffe, asked herself before deciding to open her new Café downtown. Marshall says she saw a real need for a small business coffee café owned by someone from the town she grew up in.  Just The Beans may seem like it is just another addition to the list of small businesses in Salisbury, but it is bringing a brand new big idea to the town. Marshall saw the need for a small business that would target her fellow "coffee lovers". She said in an interview on Monday that, "Starbucks has always been a viable option for people to go to when they need a quick coffee fix, but there has never really been a place in our small town that combines the taste of good, sustainably sourced coffee beans, and the sociability of something like a book club." Marshall's idea was to bring a new event to the people of the small town, after seeing the need for social interaction in the town, after many of the events and businesses were shut down due to the pandemic. Tuesdays of every week, Just The Beans is hosting an event called "Just The Beans, Around the World", this event focuses on coffee from around the world in order to make its customers feel like they are taking a trip around the world, even if it's just through their tastebuds! The event focuses on different coffees from different regions around the world. The company is hoping that its customers embark on a journey with them into the deep, rich history of the coffees that they will be offering at their weekly events. The international coffee night is a socially distanced, safe opportunity for Just The beans coffee lover customer base to enjoy their amazing coffee with new people. All are welcome to this wonderful event and are asked to wear masks when appropriate. Tickets for the event run at just $10 for 10 different coffee taste testers and a treat from that region.
